Our study tours and courses are characterised by their originality and their diversity.
Participants need no previous qualifications or experience to enjoy an VolcanoTrek's course; all that is required is a curiosity in the subject concerned!
All our tours are led by specialist and experienced course directors (lecturers), chosen for their individual expertise and their ability to communicate, who are encouraged to contribute their own distinctive style and personality.

2009 Geological Field Trips

-Volcanic and seismic hazard assessment

Where: study tour to Naples region of Italy

Field based identification and description of a range of volcanogenic deposits and landforms from recent and historic eruptions of Mount Vesuvius in Italy. Large scale landsliding and seismic damage following the 1980 Irpinia earthquake and examples of debris flows in volcanogenic deposits.

Other study tours having different subjects can be arranged on request.
