A summit eruption that occurred at Etna on 4 September began with an increase in volcanic tremor and was followed by lava fountaining (lasting all the time of eruption and a ash plume directed to Est.
Lava flows traveled E within the Valle del Bove. The INGV-CT monitoring web cameras showed that the eruption lasted about 11 hours.

  • * Depends on where the eruption will take place we can need to take the Cableway + 4x4 bus. Ticket will cost an extra 60,00 EURO per person.

  • Tour is operated in English. For other languages, please contact us.

  •  All participants must be in good health (no asthma, no respitory disorders, no heart problems, no blood pressure problems).

  • Participants should wear trekking shoes suitable for rugged terrain, and a wind-proof jacket. A rucksack can be usefull, too.

  • This walk is graded EASY (for all ages). However, weather conditions apply (strong winds, cold and snow, even in summer).
